In order to find keywords for my website, I started by using a program that allowed me to analyze my competitor’s websites. This program was an online keyword research tool. I used this tool and it returned thousands of keyword phrases that were related to my website. Then I looked at each of these keywords in detail and found out what the competitive keywords were. This information gave me a list of keywords that I could target in my articles.
Once I had this list of keywords, I wanted to find out what the competition for each of them was like. This is where the online keyword tool really came in handy. This tool allowed me to analyze my competition and find out what keywords they were ranking for in the search engines. I was able to find how many times each keyword phrase was being searched and how much competition there was for that phrase. This information was extremely valuable to me in my quest to increase my pages rank and get traffic to my site.
After I had found all of this information, I was ready to create keyword strategies. I started by looking for the top search terms and key phrases that were being searched. Then I created keyword themes. Each of these keyword themes were based on the theme of the individual keyword that I found during my keyword analysis.
With this new tool, I was able to see my competition in an easy to read format. I saw the keywords that were getting traffic and how many visitors were being generated for those keywords. This tool was especially helpful when I was just starting out. It helped keep me focused on the important keywords that would be essential for increasing my traffic volume and page rank.
The next step to creating my keyword strategies was to find the keywords that were ranking for the search terms that I was targeting. The goal of any SEO effort is to find high demand, low competition long tail keywords. Once I had found a few good long tail keywords, it was time to create my strategy for generating traffic and converting that traffic into leads. I again turned to the keyword tool to help me identify the competition for each of the keywords that I was targeting. Once again, it was extremely beneficial to have a clear picture of my competition.
Once I had a full list of the keywords that I was going to use, I was ready to start my keyword strategies. Again, it was extremely helpful to turn to the keyword tool for this step. Once I had a full list of the search terms and their rankings, it was time to start building my content around these keywords. Each piece of content that I wrote would need to be optimized for the specific search term that it was optimized for. This would ensure that my visitors would be able to find me when they searched for my niche keywords.
In addition to this, I conducted some research on the social networks that I was going to be using to promote my site. The goal here was to find keywords that would rank well within these social networks. I again turned to the keyword research keyword tool for this step.
My goal in all of this was to drive targeted traffic to my web pages. It was necessary to have a full list of the keywords that I wanted to rank for, as well as a list of the social networks in which my targeted traffic would be traveling to. By utilizing the proper tools that I had access to, my efforts to generate traffic had increased dramatically.
